Great weather tonight. Temps in the mid 80's and a gentle variable wind. We had a mere 4 riders at the 5:30 start. Madeline did the TT earlier and our old friend from a while ago, Scott Green (who was seen all decked out in his pro TT setup warming up as we started, thinking the TT started at 6 pm). came back to set down a blistering fast time.
The best news, at least to me, is that this is the last long TT of the series!!
Here are the results:
1. Scott Green; Time: 44:00; 25.09 mph; 6 points
2. Shawn Lakota; Time: 46:25; 23.78 mph; 5 points
3. Madeline Nagy; Time: 48:15; 22.88 mph; 4 points
4. David Goodwin; Time: 52:42; 20.95 mph; 3 points
5. Tim Pitkin; Time: 53:30; 20.64 mph; 2 points
6. Martin Cahillane; Time: 54:15; 20.35 mph; 1 points
No PRs tonight but Shawn now takes over the TT lead from a recuperating Jonathan OK by a mere 3 points. JOK and Andy M are still tied for the overall lead with 108 points each.
Here's a scary fact: in the however many years that I've been running the TT/HC series, I've done the long TT 49 times. I think it's taken 49 days off my life.
Next week is the Route 66 Noho to Huntington hillclimb.
